Stranger Things: Zillow Offers The Byers House for Sale
Are you looking to make an investment in real estate? You're looking for real estate to invest in? Zillow put the house up for sale just days ago. It was used as a filming location to shoot exterior shots of Joyce Byers ( Winona Kyder). The house, which is a little fixer-upper like the TV show, may suit you if your eye already has dollar signs.
You may recall that Joyce decided to move her family to California after the Starcourt episode in Season 3. The property is now vacant and a new Zillow listing was created. It lists the house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, at $300,000. It lists all the amenities (spoilers, there aren't many), which includes a barn — the shed that Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) disappeared in during Season 1 when the Demogorgon first attacked. This listing does not sugarcoat the property and warns potential Byersnot too," get stuck in the upside-down though. While this house will need extensive rehab, the return on investment (ROI), could be huge for the right person.
The listing is cleverly targeted at fans of the show or people looking for a quick profit. It includes photos of both the exterior and property of the home, along with some interior shots. Demogorgons can be seen in pairs. You can actually see Vecna ( Jamie Campbell Bower ) emerging from the fireplace in just one photo. It says in the description:
"Have you ever watched Stranger Things? Netflix ?... Are you fan?... This is the original Byers home! This is the original Byers house! It's located just outside the fictional town of "Hawkins." The home featured in the original series' first season and is still a focal point. It would be so cool to have the Stranger Things home! ...p.s. "Do not give the Demogorgon food!"
Although the website offers tours, which are free, it is not recommended that you visit the seller. This home is an investment, and "...it makes for the perfect Airbnb or short-term rental. It is being sold as-is, with no disclosure. This means that the seller doesn't need to disclose anything about the house's lurid past, including the Demodogs who flew through it, the space-time damage or Joyce's attempt at ripping through the wall using an ax. Another thing to note is that "... fans have been traveling far and wide to get photos of the house since it aired on 2016's Stranger Things. The owners had to set up barricades because it became so problematic. It's not uncommon for fandoms to be quite wild.
If someone is willing to spend the time and money necessary, the Georgia property could make an amazing, fan-centric Airbnb. It would also be a great experience. It would be a wonderful experience to share a LEGO set with friends and family, even if you aren't looking to remodel the home.
You can learn more about the history of your house by watching all seasons Stranger Things on Netflix. Check out these photos and Zillow for all details.
